We offer a kiln firing and polishing service for anyone who has an item of PMC or Art Clay that needs to be kiln fired. Typically this service is used by customers who are not able to fire their creations at home, who have made pieces too large for torch-firing (the size and thickness of a 50p piece) or who have included elements in their design that cannot be torch-fired. You might also want to consider it when you have made many pieces that would be very time consuming to fire individually, or several identical pieces that you want to be exactly the same size (kiln firing results in more consistent shrinkage).
Please note this service covers standard firing schedules of silver clays only, and as a result we are unable to accept items made from base metal clays, or clays required a special environment, such as carbon.
To use our service, securely package your fully dry pieces and post to:

We recommend sending items via Royal Mail Special Delivery so that items are insured and traceable.
Please enclose a letter stating:
Your name, address, telephone number and email address
Brief description and number of items in the package
Type of metal clay used
On receipt of your package we will use your e-mail address to raise a Paypal invoice for the service fees, which are:
£5.00 per item, or £30 per kiln load, which ever is the cheapest
£5.00 return postage (second class signed for)
Your items will be fired, tumble polished and returned within 3-5 working days of payment being received.
Please note that whilst every care will be taken with any items received, we will not be held responsible for any breakages or damage either upon receipt, during firing, pickling, tumbling or whilst in transit. The maximum compensation available for the default postal service used by us is £50 - if you would like more comprehensive cover please contact us to discuss available options.
